Containment Security

CONTAINMENT SECURITY

In museums and other large buildings, using a lot of security cameras increase the cost as more technicians will be required to monitor the feeds. In short, video surveillance in large museums and other structures is cost prohibitive and ineffective. Most large structures, therefore started using a method called "Containment Security(forget about keeping thieves out. Keep them in.)" Containment was activated after-hours and if an intruder removed a piece of artwork or any other valuable, compartmentalized exits would seal that specific compartment of the building and the thief would find himself behind bars even before the police arrived. To bluff the public, dud security cameras were fitted throughout the building which were meant to send a clear message,"We see you. Do not touch anything."
