IM WEAPONRY

The term stands for Improvised Munitions. These types of weapons make their own ammunition. Snow rifles that compact snow into ice pellets, desert rifles that melt sand into glass projectiles, water-based firearms that shoot pulses of water with such force that could break bones.

Improvised munitions had an enormous advantage over conventional weapons because IM weapons use available resources and literally manufacture munitions on the spot, providing soldiers unlimited rounds without their having to carry heavy conventional bullets. US special forces generally use these weapons at the moment.
